Today the Fed begins its two day policy meeting. Market consensus is slightly favoring a delay in the tapering decision until sometime in the first quarter of next year but with the budget process on track and the recent positive economic numbers some believe it could come as early as tomorrow. With that in mind today's CPI could still be a swig factor in Big Daddy's decision. Trade strong.

The S&P 500 settled higher by 0.6% snapping its four-day losing streak. Despite yesterday's gain, the benchmark index remains lower by 1.1% for the month of December. All of the upward action came in the first 30 minutes of trade after that point the equities chopped around the rest of the day. Jan WTI also closed up +.88 at 97.88 and February gold settled up +9.8 at 1244.4.
