No economic reports today. This is the next to last day of trade for 2013 and it will be another abbreviated week due to the New Year's holiday. Look for more of the same thin markets. The major indexes are resting near their all time highs and most of the major players will be on the sidelines until the new year. Since the holiday falls on Wednesday and we won't see any reports until after the first, this week promises thin trade. Trade wisely.
The S&P's stayed within a five point trading range and closed flat at 1836.50 up +.10 on thin volume. The February Oil contract closed up +.77 to close at 100.32. Buyers and sellers stayed on the sidelines in equities as everyone has closed out the books for the year.
